NEWS

25 January 2009:
We're very sorry for all the problems that were caused by the delay of the official opening of this contest! We were hoping that some more of our friends will make the chara sheets of their characters, but unfortunately they didn't. Hopefully we will present them in the next contest (if this one will come out well). :3
Also due to those circumstances, this contest will now be named "FBTW CONTEST", rather than "MDH Contest".

The deadline of this contest is set on 30th June 2009. I hope you'll be able to finish your pieces till that day. :3 And that we'll be able to complete all the prizes till the end of the summer break '09.

Welcome! Here we will tell you about our new contest. ^^ We sure hope a lot of you will take part in it! <3

1. ASSUMPTIONS:
__________________________________________________________

- This contest is made to get you more familiar with our club members' comic projects.
- The simple idea is that you draw for us our characters, and then we give you rewards. xD And of course we all just want to have some fun, right?
- We would like your works to be quite true, I mean - set in the reality of our worlds. That means: true pairings, true designs, etc. Anyway - your creativity is very important as well! Be sure to make your works connected with our ideas, and yet - creative as much as you can!
- Everything you send us will be judged, and can win in four different categories: Best Art, Most Funny, Group Art, Couples.
- You can do pictures, comics, animations, sculptures, cosplay... Anything is fine, and for your creativity an additional prize can be given! - Most Creative. X3
- We really hope to have great fun with you while going through it! ^0^ Keep you thumbs for us~! XD

2. RULES:
__________________________________________________________

- Anyone can join! You only have to have an Internet connection to send us your work. :3
- Any thechnique is fine - digital and traditional art, sculpture, animation, cosplay, etc.
- You can send us as many entries as you wish! ^^=

- Your works should keep to the general submission rules of DA - no violence, porn, etc. D:
- Be sure that the work was made by you, and not someone else!! O_O (That's rather obvious, isn't it?)

- Only works containing our characters will be accepted. :3
- The jury containing of the organizers will decide on the winners and announce them after the contest deadline. Then rewards will be made and delivered.

- Anything that is not written in the rules will be decided by the organizers of the contest.

4. PRIZES:
__________________________________________________________

For each of four categories (Best Art, Most Funny, Group Art, Couples):

1st place = 1-year DA subscription*, and 3 (THREE!) full-coloured, detailed and containing background(XD) arts made by organizers

2nd place = 3-month DA subscription, and 3 arts, but not as nice as for the first place - no background, and rather simple ones.

3rd place = 1-month DA subscription, and 3 sketches.



*- we've decided, that a subscription will be most simple to send, rather than an artbook, or other material goods.

5. JUDGING and BONUS POINTS:
__________________________________________________________

Judging:

- Every organizer will give your artwork between 1 and 10 points. So the overall number of points you can get is 10 * <the number of organizers>. (So far it seems there would be 6 organizers...)



Bonus Points:

Okay, and now's the time for some fun~! : D Because this Contest is not just some ordinary art contest~! XD It's for having as much fun as possible~!

Bonus Points are short descriptions of things which you can do with your artwork to get more than those 60 points (10 * 6 for each organizer).
If your artwork is not so good, you still can get some points for finding the code numbers of Bonus Points.
Anyway, there is not a big possibility of winning just by finding all the Bonus Points. First of all, they'll be mutually exclusive (simply speaking - not all of them can be used at the same time). And there won't be as many Bonus Points to get as to outnumber those 60 points given by organizers
But searching for them and then making some crazy art with them should surely be funny, and we just hope to have fun here, nah? xD (Wow, I've written it so many times already... xDDD)

Okay, now to some example:

Let's say you've found those descriptions:

8803: +3 points for a sow-thistle in your artwork!
and
7124: +1 point for a cloud.

"8803" and "7124" are the code numbers of Bonus Points. You will send us them in a Note together with your artwork, to prove that you've found them. X3 (More about it in "SENDING" section.)

After finding your Bonus Points you draw your art. Let's say it's something like this:

Now you should submit your artwork in your DA gallery:

- Notice, that when you're doing a cosplay, or something which is not a drawing, you still can take the photo of you cosplaying our character AND holding a sow-thistle, or under the cloudy sky.
- Bonus Points can be found anywhere - in organizers' journals, galleries, under artworks connected with their projects, etc.
But remember, only the Bonus Points found on official organizers' and MDH club's pages will be valid. :3

6. SENDING:

Sending your artwork to us (it's quite important to do it the right way...!). '3'


- You should submit your artwork on your DeviantArt gallery. In fact we would prefer you to do so, but it's not necessary for participating in the contest.
- Then you send us the note with the link to your work, the code numbers of Bonus Points you've put in your artwork and your nick-name:
